Laura Tillman a journalist and the author of “The Long Shadow of Small Ghosts: Murder and Memory in an American City,” (Scribner, 2016). Her work has appeared in The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Pacific Standard, The Wall Street Journal, Tin House, and Literary Hub, among other publications. She holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Goucher College and a BA in International Studies from Vassar College. She is represented by the Wylie Agency.

She lives in Mexico City where she is at work on her next book.
